Naan is Indian bread, perfect to accompany meals. Light, it is very fine and easy to make. If you try it, you won't be able to do without it even in western food.
Preparation: 30 minutes
Preparation: 5 minutes
Servings: 6 servings
Ingredients
100 cc. warm water
125 gr. natural yogurt without sugar
300 gr. wheat flour
a teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of dry baker's yeast
1 tablespoon of Ghee (Indian butter)
Steps to follow
1- Mix the ingredients in the same way in a large bowl, mix and pass to the floured table, kneading for about 10 minutes until there is an elastic and firm dough.
2- Go to a lightly oiled bowl, cover with film and leave to ferment in a warm place, in the kitchen, for an hour or until the dough doubles its volume. The time will depend on the ambient temperature, in winter you may need something else.
3- Once it has been kneaded and fermented, pass the dough to the floured table, kneading for a few seconds with the knuckles to eliminate excess air.
4- Divide the dough into portions. Form a ball with each part (roll the dough), spreading it with the rolling pin to form long, flat loaves.
5- Put them on a hot griddle or pan.
6 When a kind of small bubbles appear in the dough, we turn the Naan over and continue cooking it for a few moments until it is well done.
